Armagh County Museum

The oldest county museum in Ireland, Armagh County Museum is located on the Mall and is one of the national museums of Northern Ireland.
It captures centuries of stories relating to the people who lived, worked and had connections with the famous city and historic county and its displays focus on archaeological artefacts, historic domestic tools, textiles and costumes including military uniforms, ceramics, natural history and geology specimens, and railway memorabilia.
The museum also features galleries with changing exhibits from its collections of paintings, prints, ceramics and other decorative arts, as well as displays of local art and photography.
No trip to Armagh County Museum is complete without a memento to take home. The Museum’s shop, situated at the main entrance, offers an selection of books, as well as pocket money items.
Admission is free to all visitors.
